Sonya graduated with a distinction in Veterinary nursing from Dundalk IT in 2012.
She worked on an animal farm from the age of 13, it was here she fostered a love of chickens! For as long as she can remember she wanted to be a veterinary nurse.
In practice, Sonya always makes sure to spend quiet time with patients to reassure them, especially our feline patients, who can get quite stressed.
She has a particular interest in nursing wildlife patients.
Her professional interests include weight management, animal behavior and inpatient care. One of her favourite aspects of the job is getting to meet little puppies and kittens, and being lucky enough to see them grow up into happy and healthy adults !
In her spare time, Sonya likes to be outdoors ,and grows her own vegetables. She also loves arts and crafts.
She has seven cats, two dogs, and five bantam chickens.
